Settings and preferences

Personalize appearance, layout, models, onboarding, MIDI, recording, and local instrument content.

Open Settings from the account area or the desktop application menu: Sympose Studio → Settings… on macOS, File → Settings… on Windows and Linux. The shortcut is ⌘, (macOS) or Ctrl+, (Windows and Linux).

General and onboarding

Choose which launch and start-view guidance appears, including supported welcome, prompt, recent-project, and onboarding controls. Onboarding is dismissible and never blocks project editing or chat submission.

Appearance

Choose the Studio appearance and accessibility preferences. Use Text size to set the size of chat, settings, and dialog text from 10 to 20 px (default 12 px); Reset returns it to the default. Use Font to switch between Helvetica (default; Arial on Windows and Linux) and your system font; its own Reset returns it to Helvetica. Both settings stay on this computer. Theme-aware musical and state colors remain consistent across the arrangement, Clip view, Device view, and agent results. Use Effect spectrum backgrounds to show or hide the live analyser overlay behind each Device rack effect. The dedicated Spectrum insert still shows its own analyser when that effect is in the rack.

Layout and editor

  • Show or hide supported workspace panels.
  • Restore or adjust panel layout.
  • Configure scale highlighting, velocity display, clip inspector visibility, grid, and other editor preferences exposed by the release build.

Models

Set preferred models for supported agent modes. Exact availability and plan requirements are shown by the live model selector and account surfaces rather than duplicated in these docs.

MIDI and recording

  • Select a MIDI input or allow supported inputs.
  • Enable input monitoring.
  • Configure count-in and record quantization.
  • Choose supported audio input behavior and permission guidance.

Instruments

Open the instrument manager to download, repair, or remove optional local content. Removing content does not rewrite a project to use another sound; projects report missing dependencies until the required content is restored or replaced.

Account and usage

Use the website account page for plan, billing, usage, and current access. See Account, plans, and usage.
